Refunds and
cancellation.
How to stop paying us, and when you get money back. Cancelling takes two clicks inside Upshift and needs no permission from anyone.
01 — The free trial
Cancel and pay nothing
Upshift begins with fourteen days free. A card is needed to start the trial, but no amount is charged during it. Cancel any time before the fourteen days end and you are charged nothing — there is nothing to refund because nothing was taken.
02 — Monthly subscription
Cancel any time, keep the month
The Workshop plan is R799 per month and renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel yourself in Settings → Billing at any moment, without contacting us. When you cancel, no further payment is taken and you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
03 — Part-months
The general rule
Because you keep working access for the whole period you paid for, we do not normally refund part of a month. If something about your situation makes that unfair, write to us and say so — we would rather sort it out than stand on a policy.
04 — Charged in error
Refunded in full
If you are charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged an amount that is not what these terms say, tell us and we will refund it in full. You do not have to argue the point; a mistake on our side is ours to fix.
05 — If the service fails
Credit or refund
If Upshift is materially unavailable for a sustained period and that is our fault, contact us. Depending on how long and how badly it affected you, we will credit your account or refund the affected period.
06 — How to ask
One email
Email rassie@monoform.co.za with your workshop name, the date of the charge and the amount. We aim to reply within one working day and to make a decision within five.
07 — How refunds are paid
Back the way it came
Approved refunds go back to the card that was charged — we cannot pay a refund to a different card or account. Once we release it, the payment gateway and your bank typically take 10 to 12 working days to place it back in your account.
08 — Your statutory rights
Untouched
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, including any cooling-off right that applies to you. The fourteen-day free trial is deliberately longer than the seven-day statutory cooling-off period for electronic transactions.
09 — Monoform project work
Different, and quoted
Custom software, automation and audit work is not sold through this page. It is scoped and quoted in writing first, and the cancellation and payment terms for that work are set out in the written scope you approve before anything begins.
